Sentinel Storage South Vancouver

Two rental increases in one year, the unit wasn’t actually the size advertised, terrible customer service. Save your money and heartache and do not use them. Oh and no refunds when you want to move out.

I've been using the Sentinal facility on Laurel St for over 7 years now as an offsite storage locker. Love the security, and the fact that I can access my locker 24/7 . All access controlled by pinpads with a code I set. Locker individually alarmed. There are always dollies available, and the facility is spotless.
On the billing side, I do think rates have gone up steeply in the past fews years, and I wish their billing process was more modernized. I also used to have the option to pay 12 months in advance and receive a month free, which no longer appears to be an option.

It's probably the cheapest storage place around, so it's good for students or people who have seasonal employment.

One thing to be aware of is that the top units have no real roofs, it's just covered by mesh wire. It can make beddings and other cloth materials have a smell from the metal walls and ductwork. So it is best to be aware of this if you plan to store things there longer term.

I find this facility to be well-managed, and it offers helpful services, and reasonable rates. Also, it is conveniently located (close to transit).

I would recommend Sentinel to anyone needing self-storage.

The storage business is very clean and well managed. I do find it very expensive but it has all the proper secure features that a storage location should have.

This is my third storage facility in 6 years and I have finally found one I will stay with. Good service and attentive to my needs. Having a moving truck is a great plus. I will continue to recommend Sentinel to friends.

My husband and I are going through downsizing process. We talked to a few storage locations but we decided to go with Sentinel Storage at 8866 Laurel Street. The Assistant Manager, Susan Gatche was extremely knowledgeable, pleasant, helpful and patient with us while we asked all kinds of questions and asked to tour the facilities. We settled on a 5' x 10' and moved in happily. The space is well lit and clean. We used the van too. It was wonderful and helped us a lot. Kelly helped with the scheduling of the van to make sure all the customers are happy.

I have been using sentinel for many years now, and I find their service consistently efficient and friendly. They respond to emails almost immediately which is great customer service, in my opinion. They will always try to accommodate a situation if they can.
Highly recommended; I use the one on Laurel street. The manager Kelly and her staff are especially good.

Me and my family are very pleased having a grate storage to keep our personal stuff. We find the storage very clean and well maintained. The stuff r courteous, friendly and most of all very professional. We would never live this storage facility as long as we have stuff to keep.

We have used Sentinel for 4 years because we are so happy with our service. The facility is close by, the staff is courteous and knowledgeable and the facility is clean. 5 stars for Sentinel!

Very nice tidy office and extremely helpful, personable, friendly staff. Super secure, you can tell without even asking, pinpads, cameras, VERY well organized and clean place. I even (accidentally) set off the alarm, they checked up on me, and made sure everything was alright.

They even had Halloween decorations and treats, no tricks. This tells me they care about staff and customers.

FREE courtesy moving van (almost free, small mileage fee, seemed less than cost of gas!)

As I was price shopping they told me that if I came in I would understand what separated them from the rest and they were right, no sales gimmicks, the other places were very aggressive and called me non-stop with offers.

A lot to say about a place where you just put your stuff in a metal box!

I've been with a few different storage companies over the years and I can honestly say that Sentinel is far above all the other places I've had to deal with. The staff there are tops. Kelly the Manager is like family. Whenever I'm fortunate enough to see her it's like hanging out with an old friend. She's fantastic! Larry is another Sentinel friend who is always more than helpful, polite and always willing to help in a heartbeat. Whenever anyone asks me about a good storage place without hesitation I recommend Sentinel. The place is spotless, the staff are great and the rates are very reasonable. You can't go wrong!

Dealing with Sentinel Storage has been a very enjoyable experience. Their staff are very friendly and accommodating. The rental van is a fantastic idea and makes moving so much easier than using a separate vehicle rental company.

Sentinel storage is by far the best storage place I have ever dealt with. When looking at my options for self storage, other companies were rude and unhelpful. When I called sentinel, they were extremely helpful and friendly. Sentinel was the only storage place I could get a straight answer from. Their costumer service is superb. It was a very easy choice to choose sentinel. The building is wonderfully clean and easy to access. I would never store my stuff anywhere else.

Exorbitantly expensive - plus, they fine you if you're a day late on payment. At least it's clean.

We have been at Sentinel for about a year and really like how clean and environmentally friendly it is. The isles are always clean, the place smells nice and the lights turn on by motion sensor and turn off after you leave. It is an easy place to store your items, they have lockers of various sizes and the personnel are great.

What else can I say. The building is clean. The staff isn't sleazy or look like ex-cons. The price is very reasonable. 24/7 access via a secure climate controlled system. Secure, safe, good price, great staff, good location.

Sentinel Storage on Laurel St Vancouver has been the easiest storage experience I have ever had to deal with. Customer service is through the roof. Kelly & Shannon are a pleasure doing business with and Larry keeps me welcomed on the weekend. 5 stars for sure.

Kelly was very helpful and friendly. Location is great, locker is clean, would recommend this storage to everyone who needs the service.

Once again I am really happy with the service that Sentinel Storage provides me. They operate an immaculate, clean, safe environment. Most recently they called me while I was out of town to inform me that upon their standard walk-through of the facility they noticed that my lock was not placed properly and my unit was open. They replaced the lock, only after giving me a few days to do it on my own, but I was out of town. This service is amazing and leaves me assured that my belongings are safely kept.

This storage facility is very clean, and the staff are a pleasure to deal with! They showed me a variety of lockers to chose from and I picked one at ground level so I could drive up to it in my car. Also, they provide a courtesy moving van, which is a real bonus. Very convenient!!

Would recommend to people looking for storage! The manager really stepped up to fix a miscommunication!
